Opportunities for systematically learning research management skills are available in the European and American academia in the early stages of research careers but are very scarce in Japan. In this program, workshops are held for researchers to exchange information with each other while helping them learn the skills necessary for becoming an independent principal investigator (PI) capable of leading studies as an organizational leader, and gain skills for managing future research projects.
